Please remember to sign up for notification of Ozone Action days and help protect
your health and thehealth of your community, by reducing automotive trips on
these sensitive days.
Consider carpooling, taking public transportation, walking, or biking every day but especially on Ozone Action days. Using an alternative to driving just one day a week for a year can save the typical commuter about 1,200 miles on their vehicle and about $455 in total driving costs according to the U.S. Department of Transportation.

New Ozone Standards
On March 12, 2008, the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) significantly strengthened the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for ground-level ozone to reflect new science about ozone's effect on public health and the environment. For more information click here.
